I
want to tell you about a very important ministry.... It's a
support ministry to our troops stationed abroad. Touch of
Home is run by a dear lady, Mrs. Diane Boone. Diane is a
retired chef for 35 yeas and now is supporting her daughter,
Sgt. Rebecca Boone, and 23,000 or
more of our brave men and women. Below is just a sampling of
their winter needs list. Go here to get the full story:

Cold Weather Needs List Winter
2006
We have just picked up our daughter's Quarter Master
Battalion of 125 or so. They are in Iraq. We will have
approx. 20 female soldiers to spoil :>)
“We will also continue to support, as able, our
23,000 or so Marines and our individual Military
contacts. ”We will also continue to support, as able,
our 23,000 or so Marines and our individual Military
contacts. We will do our best as supplies and $$$$$
allow.
COLD WEATHER NEEDS LIST:
***SOCKS *** BEANIE BABY TYPE TOYS SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR
IRAQI CHILDREN *LETTERS TO BRAVE PATRIOTS - to see the rest
of the list and to learn how you can help - go to
Touch of Home's website
Their needs are so simple - please lend a helping hand -
of course money is always good since it cost about $1,400
for a hundred boxes to go out.
Diane says, "We seek to lift the spirits of our brave
young heroes, in the Military, by sending packages
containing requested items and letters, etc.
We are truly a "Touch of Home" to thousands.
We mainly serve Forward Support Military, because they
live under the most difficult conditions and have the least
opportunity to access the larger PX's. This project started
by our daughter, Sgt. Rebecca (Boone) Iacolino, sharing her
boxes while deployed in Iraq 3 1/2 years ago. The rest is
history, as the saying goes."
This is not another War Book..., I truly believe this is a
testimonial of the Sovereignty and Love of God whose
omnipotence and omnipresence is demonstrated each day in
walking with Ryan through his deployment. Both Military and
Civilian, Saved and Unsaved will be moved that much closer
to God in this display of his Spirit and Power after reading
the book.

What folks are
saying...
Just as Holy Spirit
spoke through the
men in Acts 2 - in a
language, each
person could
understand - So He
does through Fred
Raynaud just as
beautifully in
Reflections from the
Kitchen. If you are
a working chef, a
new apprentice,
retired from the
field or a foodie
that just can’t get
enough stuff on the
workings of a
professional kitchen
and the chef’s that
staff them – the is
a must read! Fred
brings the glory of
The Son of Man right
next to you as you
peel potatoes, make
vinaigrette, or use
your elbow grease to
get the oven to
shine just right.
Jesus really is
interested in our
day to day. Fred
brings that truth
home in an eloquent
style all his own.

Like a starved child
desperately seeking
even the smallest
crumb, Chef Fred’s
heart aches to see
his beloved Savior,
even in the
overlooked
banalities of daily
occupation. Fred’s
simmering hunger
draws the reader in,
awakening the core
desire of every
believer: an
unceasing walk in
the intimate
presence of our
Lord. Reflections is
the culmination of
kitchen bound years
spent in meditation
on the living Word,
and on the telltale
signature that marks
His creation. The
devotions that make
up each chapter drip
with the overflow of
scriptural
contemplation,
whetting the
appetite for the
Lord who stands at
the door, longing to
dine with those who
will. Come, taste,
and see that the
Lord is good!

WOW This book is
awesome. Very
inspirational, Fred
certainly hit the
mark on this book…,
his message was well
received. I would
recommend this to
anyone who does not
know Christ and
would like to. I
can't wait for his
next one
Max
Jukes lived in New York. He did not believe in
Christ or in Christian training. He refused to take
his children to church, even when they asked to go.
He has had 1,026 descendants—300 were sent to
prison for an average term of 13 years each; 190
were public prostitutes; 680 were admitted
alcoholics. His family thus far, has cost the state
in excess of $420,000. They have made no
contribution to society that is of any benefit.
Jonathan
Edwards lived in the same state, at the same time as
Jukes. He loved the Lord and saw that his children
were in church every Sunday, as he served the Lord
to the best of his ability. He has had 929
descendants—of these, 430 were ministers; 86
became university presidents; 75 authored good
books; five were elected to the United States
Congress and two to the Senate. One was
Vice-President of this nation. His family never cost
the state one cent but has contributed immeasurably
to the life of plenty in this land today.
How
is your influence and what legacy will you leave
with your children, grandchildren, and
great-grandchildren?

I
remember Tom Landry telling me in the mountains of
Colorado years ago, just after they had won the
Super Bowl (the Dallas Cowboys, year after year
after year, had been coming so close, and finally
that victory had come), “The overwhelming
emotion—in a few days, among the players on the
Dallas Cowboys football team—was how empty that
goal was. There must be something more.”
