Judge Pays a Prisoner’s Fine

Two men who had been friends and companions in their youth met in the police court, the one on the magistrate’s bench, the other in the prisoner’s dock. The case was tried and the prisoner was found guilty. Would the judge, in consideration of their friendship years before, forbear to pass judgment? No, he must fulfill his duty, justice must be done, the law of the land obeyed. He gave out the sentence — fourteen days’ hard labor or a fine of $500. The condemned man had nothing to pay, so the prison cell was before him. But as soon as he had pronounced the sentence the judge rose from the bench, threw aside his magistrate’s robes, and stepping down to the dock, stood beside the prisoner, paid his fine for him, and then said, “Now, John, you are coming home with me to supper.” It is just so with the sinner. God cannot overlook sin. Justice must be done, and the sentence pronounced, but Christ Himself pays the debt and the sinner is free.

The day God Touched Me..

My name is Maria albino

I work at the Inn at Little Harbor and I am a Cook for Christ.

I am thirty years of age. I have known the word of God ever since I was a child. I am an unmarried mother with three children and I thank God I have the strength to continue. I have had many experiences with my God and thanks to HIM who is able to keep me from falling. Let me tell you my story.

I tried to commit suicide, when my husband left me. I was seven months of pregnant with my third son. I lived on the third floor of and apartment… in the middle of the night, in all my pain, I heard a voice that said to me, “everything was going to be fine.” I knew in my heart that it was the voice of God; He said to me, “HERE I AM, I Love you, I know about your children.”

I thanked God for His love. Because of Him and for my children… I keep fighting.

You see, I had the same disease my mother had, cancer, yet God had given me the strength to live with that disease. The problem was, everyday at work I would have such terrible pain – so much so – there were days I couldn’t even work and twice I had to go to an emergency hospital because the pain was too much.

My head chef, my Shepherd Chef, as we like to call him (his real name is Fred Raynaud ) and my friend Rey Guerrero were worried about me, and the pain I was having. I told them the doctors had found a tumor on my right ovary. The Chef wanted to help and asked if we could pray. Of course, my answer was yes – and you know what – since that day I have never felt any pain, it was gone.

On another occasion, we asked the chef to pray for my friend and the chef asked me if I still needed prayer. I told him that God had touched me the last time we prayed and the pain left and I have faith in God that everything is going to be taken care of. It was then that I told him of the miracle that God made with me, and no pain. The number one thing that is necessary you have to have faith.

And I say to you this: I can do all things in him that strengtheneth me. (Philippians 4:13)

The day I was saved.

It was March 25, 2006, I was totally lost. I was drinking way too much, separated from my wife, and my two girls. Actually I did not search out the Lord, he searched me out. I was already having dreams six to seven months prior to this day. Hung-over and half-baked I would get to work and tell Chef Fred about the dream I had. He  would tell me that God was calling me and I had a date with my destiny, but I kept running.

The Lord did not stop there.

It was a day after a serious binge of partying I asked Fred how I would go about being saved. We were out by the pier at work and he told me to confess my sins to HIM (Jesus) and I would be saved. I broke down just then, crying like a baby and begging for HIS forgiveness. I remember it was a cloudy day with no hope of sunshine, but as Fred prayed for me, I saw a ray of sunshine fall over the water and on us and knew it was HIM. HE was giving me another chance at life. HE was opening his arms to me. Forgiving someone who did not deserve HIS forgiveness, but he did and I have not been the same in my heart since. I am now positively working on my marriage and alcohol problems with much success. I am taking discipleship classes and working toward my ordination. Today I serve as the South Shore Chapter president of IACFC. Thank you Jesus Christ for your love and divinity, I love and Praise you Lord with all that I am. AMEN.

My name is Belinda Albino

I am 25 years old and a single mother. I have three children who are my inspiration. It’s for them that I give thanks to our Heavenly Father on a daily basis. I want to share the miracle the Lord did in my life. My daughter had only been born a few days when the doctor notified me that she had serious cardiac problems. That is when I looked to God, why is it we only search Him out when we need Him?

Well in this instance, I did not know where to turn and was becoming real desperate. I actually thought the Lord was not hearing my prayers, but Jesus Christ is always right on time. I just needed to keep the faith. Her operation was cancelled twice before and I was getting worried. I believe that it was because of God and not man that it was postponed. The doctors also said the recuperation time would be long and painful for her. But by the Glory of God the operation went perfect and to the amazement of the medical staff she recovered rapidly in one day and would not need the breathing apparatus the said she would need for the rest of her life. Because in Christ nothing is impossible. And to this day when you ask my daughter who cured her she says with a big smile “my daddy Jesus." That is her name for Him.

Christ did a miracle for my dear child and He can do it for any of you all you need is to accept him and have faith.

Romans 10:17 ( N KJV ) 17So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

What Is Repentance?

“From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matt. 4:17).

J. R. Miller writes the following on this passage of Scripture:

“Christ’s first call of His ministry, like John the Baptist’s was a call to repentance. All men need to repent. We never can reach the gates of heaven unless we repent. The prodigal son had to rise and leave the far country, and walk back all the painful way to his father’s house, before he could be restored to favor and be at home again. That is what every impenitent man and woman must do. The first step in coming to Christ is repentance.

“We must be sure that we know just what this word means. Some people imagine that if they are sorry for doing wrong they have repented. But sorrow for a wrong way does not take us out of that way. Tears of penitence will not blot out sin; we must turn about and walk in holy paths. Repentance is ceasing to make blots on the record, and beginning to live a fair, clean, white life.”
